Tagset
Some of the tags for the boards have already been placed in the tagset. There will be more tags coming in the future.
Nominations
You get ten nominations in ten fandoms.
You are to nominate the fandom at the breadth you want it to cover. So, if you just want Steve Rogers in his solo MCU movies then nominate him under the Captain America movies. If you want works that encompass all of his appearances in the MCU then nominate him under MCU. If you really don’t care what version of Steve Rogers you get at all, then nominate him under Marvel – All Media Types.
All nominations of ships and characters must have either the fandom name or an understandable abbreviation of the fandom name in parenthesis at the end of the tag. This is called disambiguation. It helps prevent wandering tags and if they do wander it makes it easier to figure out where they originally came from.
Nominating a single character should be in the format Solo: Character Name (Fandom)
Solo: Steve Rogers (MCU)
Solo: Sentient Computer Virus That Gave Up World Conquest to Run Exchanges (Original Work)
Solo: Tsukino Usagi (BSSM Manga)
Solo: Bruce Wayne (DC – AMT)
To nominate a platonic relationship nominate in the format Character 1 & Character 2 (Fandom)
Willow Rosenberg & Buffy Summers (BtVS)
James T. Kirk & Spock (Star Trek – AMT)
Allura & Keith & Lance (VLD)
To nominate a romantic relationship nominate in the format Character 1/Character 2 (Fandom)
Pietro Maximoff/Wanda Maximoff (MCU)
The Doctor/Jack Harkness (Doctor Who)
Duchess/Queen/Princess (Original Work)
If you want to nominate a crossover it is slightly different. You nominate it under Crossover Fandom. You do the nomination as Character 1 (Fandom A)/Character 2 (Fandom B). As this section tends to get big put your nomination in order by character’s family name. Make sure you are clear with what fandom you mean. We can only go by what is in the tag. It is better to be clear than it is for the tag to look pretty.
Jean Grey (X-Men ATM)/Diana Prince (WW Jenkins Movies)
Kaname Madoka (PMMM) & Tsukino Usagi (BSSM Manga)
James T Kirk (Star Trek AOS)/Malcolm Reynolds (Firefly)/Han Solo (SWOT)
Issues
There are a few errors that can creep up.
There is a known bug where AO3 will sometimes duplicate your nomination page. As AO3 will see that you have duplicate nominations it will not let you edit your nominations any further. There is nothing you can do to prevent this and it can not be fixed when this happens. If this happens contact us with a link to your nomination page and a list of what you’d like and we will manually add it in.
AO3 synning will something change your fandom to a different, related one. For example if Arrow (TV 2012) is in the tagset and someone nominates Arrowverse, AO3 will automatically change Arrowverse to Arrow (TV 2012). Disambiguating your ships and characters will help us see if this has occurred. While we can’t fix your nomination page, we can manually add the fandom back in.
