Trapped behind the treasure chest wall, the bird shrieks and hunches over its nest, where its children are burping contentedly. "Just go!" it cries. "Leave us alone!" You think wistfully of all your loot, but you've escaped with your lives, and that's what matters.

You rush past the bird and down a winding stair to find yourselves in another treasure room just like the first. On the far side of it is a doorway with no door. You can see nothing through it except swirling, inky blackness.

Your experience on the first level has taught you not to rush forward without checking for traps. Also, you want to replace your lost loot. You and the other adventurers agree to investigate the hundred treasure chests arranged between you and the door.

"At least we know the rules now," someone says, pulling out the strategy guide you've compiled. But you hear a ghostly, mocking laugh that you recognize as the voice of Tarina the Fairy, and you realize it may not be so simple.

For this round, you will receive no information about the traps, except that there are 20 trap squares and 80 treasure squares on the board. Some of the treasure squares also hold clues that might help you find trap squares. When all the trap squares have been found and disarmed, you are free to fight the next boss.
