After all five animal companions have been successfully freed from their stone prisons, you breathe a sigh of relief while you all take in the accomplishment of reuniting the spark-sprites with their friends and digging up the construction materials they need.

“But we can’t tarry long!” one of the sprites pipes up. “It’s really unsafe here in these—”

Unfortunately, right at that very moment, an enormous janky automaton strides into the cavern and starts scooping up anything it finds in its path, including your entire team!

“It must be those pesky goblins!” wails another spark-sprite. “If we don’t manage to free ourselves, we’ll end up buried in one of their treasure caches!”

These goblins certainly do have a knack for causing trouble. But how on earth are you going to free yourself, your teammates, and all your new friends from becoming goblin treasure?

As the automaton stomps along, the movement shakes off all the dust on your clothes from digging up the materials. Some of the dust gets into the mechanisms, and they begin to grind. You realize that if you can just jam enough stuff into the gears, you can escape! And your new animal friends, who can easily slip into small spaces, are eager to help.

The boss starts with 300,000 hit points. Your found loot of 48,200 reduces that to 251,800. For the rest, post works to the Team Crystal collection.

During boss battles, works score points. All works scoring more than 10,000 points will count as 10,000 points.

Fic and podfic are worth 1 point per word. Drawn images are worth 500 to 2500 points. Each image (or panel or frame) is scored as follows:

• 500: the first character, vehicle, or structure depicted in black (or a single color) and white
• 400: each additional character, vehicle, or structure
• 200: each character, vehicle, or structure depicted in full color
• 200: detailed background

No individual image may score more than 2500 points; any score greater than that will count as 2500 points. Unique, separately created images may be combined in a comic or compilation, for which each image will be individually scored (maxing out at 2500 points each) and the scores added.

Points for fic and podfic will go by the AO3 wordcount. For art, list the points earned in the author's note to make sure the mods score your artwork correctly.

Tags are irrelevant during boss battles, as long as the work fulfills a request.

Team Crystal members (and only Team Crystal members) should post works to the Crystal collection. For this boss, each team member is capped at 50,000 points, with no cap on the number of works.
